Truck loaded with mixed cargo at a depot terminal
Consolidation Loads

One Truck.
Everyone's Cargo.

Share space on a truck that is already running your route — pay only for the tons you send.

The Process

How Consolidation Works

Three simple steps. One shared truck. Lower cost for everyone.

Drop-Off Small consignments arrive at the same depot and join a shared corridor run. We aggregate them into one consolidated load.
More detail

Your cargo doesn't need to be at the depot at the same moment — we batch consignments as they arrive and dispatch once the truck is full enough. You can drop freight today for a truck leaving tomorrow.

Consolidation One manifest, one truck, one controlled load plan. Every shipper's portion is documented and tracked individually.
More detail

We maintain a single shipment file for the truck, but sub-manifest records for each shipper. You can see your portion, your cost, and your delivery confirmation — not the entire truck's manifest.

Departure & Corridor Run The truck leaves on the same network and routes already covered by Apex — no new corridors, no extra risk.
More detail

Because the truck is already running your corridor, you get the same route reliability, border agents, and monitoring as a dedicated truck — at a fraction of the cost.

About this estimate

Prices are indicative ranges based on weight-band rates and route surcharges. The load gauge shows chargeable weight — whichever is higher of actual weight or volumetric-equivalent weight (loading metres × 1.75 t/m). Bulky low-density cargo gets priced by the space it occupies, not just its weight. For a precise quote, WhatsApp our dispatch team.

Benefits

Why Consolidate?

Four reasons to share the truck, not a dedicated one.

Lower Cost Per Ton

You pay only for the tons you send, not the full truck. Splitting a 34 t truck between three shippers means each pays their share — not the whole thing.

Faster Dispatch

A truck that is already running your route can take your cargo sooner than waiting for a dedicated truck. Less waiting, same corridor.

Full Traceability

Your portion is tracked individually — its own sub-manifest, its own delivery confirmation. You see your data, not the truck's entire load.

Backhaul-Powered Pricing

A truck returning from a delivery carries your cargo back at a fraction of the forward cost. We price the backhaul — you get the savings.

Our Network

Where We Operate

From the Port of Durban to the DRC — we run the corridors that move SADC. Pick your cargo. See where it goes.

Proof & Compliance

Trusted Consolidation

Real transparency, not fake testimonials.

Insurance Compliant

All consolidated loads carry the same bonded carrier insurance as dedicated trucks. Your cargo is covered whether it fills ten percent of the deck or ninety.

Tracker & Visibility

GPS tracking per truck. Your portion of the load is visible in our tracking system — same as a dedicated shipment. Enter your reference on the tracking page to see where your cargo is.

Proof of Delivery (Coming Soon)

We are building a system to give each shipper a timestamped, geotagged proof-of-delivery certificate for their portion. Until then, you can request your proof from our dispatch team.

Questions & Answers

Frequently Asked

What is the minimum weight you will consolidate?

We will consolidate any weight — no minimum. Even a half-ton pallet can join an existing run. The cost you pay is the weight you send, multiplied by the applicable rate band. If your consignment is tiny, you pay tiny.

How much longer does a consolidated load take versus a dedicated truck?

The truck is already running the route, so dispatch can happen in hours, not days. Transit time depends on the corridor and border complexity — typically the same or faster than a dedicated truck since we avoid waiting for a free vehicle. Consolidation adds no extra time to the journey; it adds efficiency to the pricing.

What documents do I need to provide per shipment?

Origin and destination addresses, cargo description (type, weight, dimensions), and any special handling requirements. We handle the rest — export permits, customs declarations, transit bonds, and border clearance paperwork. You do not need to be a freight document specialist.

Can I track my portion of the load separately?

Yes. Each shipper gets a unique sub-manifest reference. You can track your portion through our tracking system and receive separate delivery confirmation. You see only your data — the truck's full manifest is internal.

What if my goods need to arrive on an exact date?

We can consolidate to delivery date — we batch consignments to meet your deadline. If a consolidated truck cannot guarantee your date, we offer a dedicated truck at the standard rate. You choose the trade-off between price and certainty.
